Pastor Demetrius Booker has been the visionary leader and Lead Pastor of Lighthouse Community Church (LHC) since 1996.

Pastor Booker was called to Ministry in 1974 at the age of fifteen. He is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University where he received dual degrees in Communication and Pastoral Theology. He holds a Master’s Degree in Ministry from Southern California School of Ministry. Reverend Booker was adjunct professor at the school of theology Detroit campus. 

In 2002 he started Operation Reformation which took the church through a five year journey which eventually led the congregation to a new location in the City of Redford, MI. Where the church sits on over two acres of property with works in process of building a twenty-first century facility to accommodate a missional minded, vision driven congregate.

It was during operation reformation that Pastor Booker victoriously led his church through a three year Federal Court battle against one of Michigan's wealthiest cities. The victory is now referred to as the "Lighthouse Affect" which bars cities from discriminating against churches when it comes to land use and zoning issues.

Listed among his achievements are Who’s Who among American Universities and Colleges, Extraordinary Christian Student, Outstanding Young Men in America, and Wendy’s Executive of the Year. He served as Vice-President/Treasurer of the Greater Detroit Metropolitan Area Ministerial Fellowship. He served on the Church of God Board of Directors for the State of Michigan, he also serves as the Regional Pastor for Southeastern Michigan for the Church of God. . On the national level, he served as a member of the S.H.A.P.E. implementation team for the Church of God mid-west division and is currently a certified coach/mentor.

He is married to Doreen Booker and is the father of 3 daughters.
